For my basement renovation I have used Hawkeye to do the design and initial estimates. I have found them extremely easy to work with. The highlights to me were - really great listening, they paid great attention to what I was looking for. It’s a big decision when choosing a general contractor, especially if you’re a “first  timer.” There’s a lot of money on the line and you want it to be done right the first time. In order to do some research, I drove around my Denver neighborhood looking at signs on lawns showing who was doing work on  their homes. Then I searched for recommendations on neighborhood social media sites. On Facebook I saw that a co-worker recommended Hawkeye  Renovations, so I went and looked at the work done at her home. Wow. I  called for an appointment right away. Signed a contract within a week and have been living in my gorgeous, renovated home for over a year.

What  do I love about Hawkeye/Chris and his team? Well, the communication within the process was exactly what I needed. Daily I would either  speak with Chris or we would communicate with emails. He really understands how to bring the language of contracting and building to a  place where a “commoner” can comprehend what’s going on. He was always  there to help, but I was respectful of his weekends.

The  team and crew were respectful of me and my family. I was living in the house while it was technically a job site, and they kept everything as  clean as possible. Chris would tell me what was happening the next day or the next week, so I could plan ahead for any disruptions. In the end, the square footage of my 1927 bungalow was doubled, the main bathroom was gutted and modernized, and all of my plumbing and electrical we updated.  The job was finished on time and was on budget.  

I have, and will continue to, positively recommend Chris and the entire Hawkeye Renovations team.

After several attempts to work with similar companies, Hawkeye was the first company to call us immediately back and schedule a walk through of our remodel. Chris was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He listened to our ideas and added his own.
